Graduate Student Scholarship
The IEEE Photonics Society established the Graduate Student Scholarship Program to provide scholarships to outstanding Society student members pursuing graduate education within the Society field of interest. Students should normally be in their penultimate year of study at time of application.
Up to $10,000 in scholarships will be awarded, based on research excellence and contributions to the Society’s publications and conferences. The geographic distribution of the awards will take into account the student membership in each of the main geographical regions:
Americas: Regions 1 - 7 & 9
Europe/Mid-East/Africa: Region 8
Asia/Pacific: Region 10
